  • Coping with CHAOS

    Coping with CHAOS….

Des Day founder of KMA Sports Academy donates another sporting chance activity session for local Dorset charity – Coping with CHAOS  A parent run organisation that supports families caring for a child/children or young person with a disability or special educational need. They provide services for families living in Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole.

Des introduced the children which ranged from 4yrs – 11yrs to a wide selection of activities on Thursday 20th Feb; that would test their agility and other motor skills as well as listening and paying attention.  Activities included Catch&Tag, hoop jumps and learning elements of sport Taekwondo by going through a series of kicking drills.

The children all looked to have a great time, sweating, jumping and burning off so much energy; I’m thrilled to be asked to teach these kids who have so much more to give back

  • Cubs & Tigers underway

The Saturday class for children from ages 4yrs – 11yrs has got underway with roaring success. Coach Des Day, 5th Dan.  Has set up a “kids development program“  that focuses on character and physical building skills. The Kickers Cubs is for ages 4yrs – 6yrs; this will involve fun activity games that will encourage various skills and act as a stepping stone that will build them towards the full training curriculum which is from 7yrs – 11yrs, called the Kickers Tigers.

The new class started on the 2nd November at Southbourne Creative Hub, 129-131 Belle Vue Rd, Bournemouth, Dorset BH6 3EN.  The Cub (ages 4yrs – 6yrs) starts at 9:30am and finishes 10:15am.  The Tigers (ages 7yrs – 11yrs) starts at 10:15am and finishes 11:15am.

The idea is to get the kids enjoying themselves whilst learning a sport.

It’s advised that students register prior to attending as numbers are limited in the class.
